Reflections
Rainbows and Mountains…
Today we are reminded that the best paths always look impossible to the natural eye, so we do not attempt to take this journey of life alone. Our Lord is just so very, very compassionate to us when we are afraid. When we need Him the most, He is most pleased to come to us immediately, without delay. Although, we may think a delay is present, it actually is when He is closest to us, cultivating a greater sense of intimacy through His transforming power.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18)
Presently we suffer at times, but none of that matters when we consider how needed this purification process actually is, in order His glory is manifested in and through us. It is all about HIM increasing within us, us decreasing so HE MAY ACTUALLY appear through every aspect of our lives continually.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We all need this word so very much, especially now. Not only do we need Him to direct our paths, our very lives depend on it. We cannot walk this Earth any longer leaning on our own understanding or even one another’s. We must faithfully believe in Him with our whole hearts to make it through until the end.
“A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. (1 Peter 2:8)
Boy is this ever a relevant scripture for today… Jesus is greatly where people start to stumble by getting extremely offended by even the mentioning of His Name or the truth, integrity, ways He expects His own to behave, etc… Hundreds of people gather in fellowship – but bring up sin and only few repent, most are offended. Killings right now are occurring due to offense and that is by so called disobedient/offended believers. This is a wakeup call for us all… Our reminder today to look inwardly and ask – Am I offended by Jesus saying – go and sin no more? That one verse is like a sword to the heart for so many people these days, who lean on their own understanding – calling evil good and good evil – these are clearly disobedient children of God.
‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” (Luke 4:11)
I just wanted to throw this one there, because I love this verse… it reminds us we are truly never alone – Jesus walks with us AND He sends angels to keep charge over us – meaning they rescue us when out of ignorance (not rebellion) we might permanently injure ourselves – physically or in the heart/soul.
“Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Mathew 7:14)
This verse speaks to itself… and it’s becoming very evident these days… very few choose to walk narrowly with the Lord because living as His in this life these days can be so difficult and it’s going to get worse. He warns us here, very few will maintain this righteous walk until the very end, sadly.
“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6)
Just thought I found the perfect example of us at times: distress, people wanting to harm us in words/deeds due to being so offended at us… as a reminder we can only be strengthened in the Lord Himself. We may encourage one another, but enduring strength to make it the whole way through only comes from Him.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
We all need to focus much more on whether our fruit looks the same as Jesus’s? This fruit is how we appear before others – outwardly we are a reflection of our inwardly truth. What we say, think, do, how we behave, present ourselves – kept and clean, orderly… all of it matters – Jesus represents excellency and therefore, we must examine ourselves fully to ensure our fruit resembles Him in every way possible to the best of our ability by AVOIDING ALL APPEARANCES of evil. If evil is not how we appear, and it shouldn’t be… then goodness should be. Hopefully, that makes sense.

Side Notes to Consider:
Jesus is the Good Shephard (Parent), and in His example as a “parent” we may consider the following…
Which child does a parent think is better…the child that walks out in front of the parent saying they fear nothing, or the child that stays close to the leg of the parent that fears many things? Neither, because both are Loved equally; however, both need growth, even corrections, with great Mercy and Grace through the many seasons ahead.
We all face fear, even a type of felt fear that comes upon us suddenly, or even a debilitating fear, in a moment of time. We do not deny this fear exists, or try to hide our own responses to fearful things that come, or taken by surprise because we thought God would never allow this to come, face to face.
Even David shares his testimony openly regarding the oppression he feels from his enemies, going from great victories only to face more challenges, even to face his own errors/sins. David did not hide how he was feeling but confessed openly before The Lord; even for all of us to read and hear to this very day.
(Psalm 23, 28, 40, 55, and many alike)
The “spirit of fear” is not of God but is of the enemy and is “anti”, however, it’s allowed space to oppose, as a demonic force that seeks to destroy your Faith in God. This spirit is not to rule over you, guide your choices, stop or hinder your steps, or provoke you to run ahead; although it seeks and desires to, as it comes along the path to sift and reveal many things we must learn along The Way of walking in Faith.
(In Hebrew, the phrase "spirit of fear" is often rendered as ruach pachad, denotes a sudden, startling, or debilitating fear, a type of negative demonic force that aims to destroy a person's confidence and boldness in God)
Bravery involves continuing despite feeling afraid, not a lack of fear itself. What value does overcoming hold if there was nothing fearful opposing us? Courage is the willingness to move forward and do what The Lord says, despite the fear, so that you are resisting fear rather than trying to suppress it.
(Matthew 25:25-30, Galatians 5:22-23, 2 Timothy 1:7-12, James 3:17, James 4:7)
As young children in Christ we often obey in fear of discipline, or even fear of rejection, until we learn to Trust The Lord God and The Majesty of HIS presence in our lives. As we grow and continue to follow His Voice, in His Word, we experience The Truth in Him and come to Love The Truth, and obedience is now made easy in HIS Love for us that made The Way for us to enter His Holy Mountain. (Exodus 19, Hebrews 12)
“The Hebrew word Yirah means awe. It is often also translated as reverence, worship, and fear (like fear of the Lord) which means reverence, awe, or a healthy respect for the Lord.” (Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 1:7)
As a child grows, a parent will teach them to follow their instructions. Children who love and trust their parents will follow their words (and not the words of others that oppose, or even their own mind). Jesus explains, there are those who say they do but never really do, and others who say they will not do but eventually do.
(Matthew 7:21, Matthew 21:28-31, Luke 6:45-49)
As we continue to Follow The Lord, we are sanctified by the Faith we have in HIM, in The Word of God and the Promise of The Father in Jesus Christ. His corrections are no longer seen as rejection, and our weaknesses give space and Grace for HIS Strength now Perfected. His Word is True, and His Love endures forever, realizing HIS perfect Love cannot fail and we may now Rest in HIM, in the Strength of HIS Salvation, forever.
(Isaiah 11:2, John 16:13, Ephesians 1:13-14, Hebrews 4:1-11, 1 John 4:17-19)

As we follow His leading with humility, anointing is released, in order His will may be done in our lives, hearts and minds, on Earth just as it is in Heaven. As you settle into a place of wholeness, in lack of nothing, save Him.
This is your Serendipity moment… Your date with the Divine, so to speak. All are worthy and invited to this table, as we gather together of one accord, for the purpose of glorifying Jesus in the Name of Love, Himself.
